Future Vision

Right now I feel like I'm standing at the edge of a cliff, ready to jump and build the plane on the way down. That's the classic small-business-owner's line, and it fits. I've just started my own company, and while it's still pre-revenue, the potential of it gets me out of bed. I'm wide open to what comes next: partners, a team, a mentor, maybe even a role inside another company that sees my value and shares my principles. Wherever I land, I want to bring my whole range of skills and life experience to bear, solve hard problems in creative ways, and help something worthwhile grow.

I've always been a natural problem-solver, a "Mr. Fix-It." I come alive when I can make a system run better, tighten up a process, or find a clever way through a tricky challenge. Operations, software development, organizational leadership, or just rolling up my sleeves and pitching in where I'm needed, I've got a lot to give. I love mixing the technical side with the creative side, my music, my poetry, my art, and coming at a problem from an angle nobody expected.

For now, my life is anchored to the Charlotte and Knoxville region, because I've got teenagers at home and my youngest is still in middle school. In about five years, when she heads off to college, I'll be more open to relocating. In the meantime, I'm fully able to work remotely and support a company anywhere in the world that sees what I can bring. I'm flexible about travel, happy to fly or drive as needed, though I'd rather keep trips to a week or less at a stretch, with expenses covered.

From building houses to building software, and now building businesses, the future feels like the next big project waiting to take shape. It's wide-open ground, full of potential and purpose. I'm pulled toward making things that last, whether that means advancing sustainability, helping companies shrink their carbon footprint, or designing systems that make work and life run smoother. Every step of my road has taught me the worth of adaptability, of knowing when to zoom in on the smallest detail and when to step back and take in the whole picture. That balance is what fuels my creativity and guides how I meet a challenge. My goal is to keep building, ideas, teams, and solutions that make a real difference, and to find the place where purpose and possibility meet.
